Integral Mission in Community Development

Interchristian Fellowships' Evangelical Mission (IcFEM)

Integral Mission - Introduction

The mission mobilises specialist delivery teams for the implementation of fixed-term projects and programmes to accelerate the process of community transformation in IcFEM communities. These activities vary according to partnerships, funding, and the needs of the communities, but current/recent examples include:

FeFarm

Providing  subsidised farm inputs (quality seed, fertiliser etc) to farmers along with a programme of training and peer support.

WASH Programme

Providing clean water to over 100,000 people through community bore holes and springs.

Teaching over 50,000 children about hygiene and sanitation. Both reduce water related disease and the distance walked to collect water. The programme is run in conjunction with The Water Project, phase 1 has been completed with phase 2 and 3 well under way.

Bee Keeping Project

Funds made available for community to have a bee hive and thus produce honey, allowing for economic growth in cooperatives within the community.

Partnership and Networking

Working with the IcFEM local units to establish partnership with government and non-government organisations that assist them in growing from the grass roots up. The team represent IcFEM on local boards of larger organisations like the water boards.
